Siegfried & Roy made conservation history when their Magical White Lion, Prosperity, gave birth to four cubs at the Cincinnati Zoo on April 1, 2001. Named "The Pride of the Millennium," the cubs are the first litter of White Lions born in the United States, and another success in Siegfried & Roy's three continent quest to save the endangered species.

The one female and three males are named Gracious, Wisdom, Courage and Legend. "It's another miracle," remarks Roy. "Prosperity was born on Christmas Day and now, for Easter, we have the Pride of the Millennium."

Roy couldn't be more proud of Prosperity's talents as a mother. "My little cub has become a great lioness. What has happened here was our dream, our hope." More significantly, the birth marked a great leap forward in efforts to save the rare breed. "It creates a new bloodline; it is an historic event for the people of Ohio and the entire world. It is a gift for the ages."
