Attempting to keep the peace between the two lions in her life, Kate—voiced by Emmy Award nominee Cheryl Hines—is the beautiful lioness married to Larry (John Goodman) who is also daughter of legendary headliner Sarmoti (Carl Reiner) in NBC’s new animated comedy series "Father of the Pride."

Best known as the patient wife opposite Larry David in the series "Curb Your Enthusiasm," Hines is currently in production on two feature films—the romantic comedy "Cake" (alongside Heather Graham) and "Our Very Own," with Allison Janney (NBC’s "The West Wing"), Keith Carradine and Jason Ritter. Her other feature film credits include a cameo role in the box office hit comedy "Along Came Polly," opposite Jennifer Aniston and Ben Stiller. She also starred last fall opposite Peter Gallagher in the cable feature "A Tale of Two Wives," a romantic revenge comedy filmed in London.

As a member of the Groundlings Theater, Hines has spent a great deal of time writing and performing sketch and improvisational comedy. This experience made her feel very at home with the improvised dialogue format on "Curb," a role for which she was recently honored with an Emmy nomination for best supporting actress in a comedy series.
